I worked with Stephen Sullivan beginning November 2009 through about March 2011. The architect was Nancy Leslie. Stephen demolished my existing house and built a new house on the property. Stephen was always available when I had a question and kept me informed of the progress on my house throughout the project. I never had to worry about him cutting corners since he and his workers take such pride in the work they do. The cabinets and kitchen were built by Corey Martin and they are beautiful. Although Stephen has built multimillion dollar homes, he worked closely with me to stick to my budget and I appreciated it. Stephen stands behind his work even 3 years after the house was completed. I live near the water and one of the wood doors developed some mildew after a couple of years and he had one of his men sand and re-stain it. My house has many windows; one was defective and it was replaced today. Stephen came over to make sure that it was done correctly. He agreed to have his men fix the part of the frame that had to be removed to replace the window. Since the house was completed, he has never charged me anything for the extra work he did. Whether it is a small or massive project, I would highly recommend Stephen Sullivan.

We worked with Stephen Jr. on the design of our home renovation/transformation, which began last August 2017. From the outset of the project, Stephen clearly grasped our vision of turning a 1980’s non-descript ranch into a charming coastal cottage. His creative ideas were always consistent with that vision, and he maintained a keen awareness of our budget concerns throughout the 6 months of work. Stephen was always several steps ahead of what needed our attention. And, with the patience of a saint, he would oftentimes draw things out on paper when a design issue was unclear. Attention to detail is his strongest asset. If a problem arose ( and very few did), his responsiveness was impressive. Always punctual, he faithfully arrived at the house every day to oversee the sub-contractors and provide direction when needed. Without hesitation, we would highly recommend Stephen; he was a pleasure to work with and a wonderful partner in this most ambitious project!

“We are very happy with the result and the quality of construction.”
We worked with Stephen Sullivan to renovate our home (from top to bottom) in South Kingstown from 2013 to 2015. Stephen was wonderful to work with. He is knowledgeable and always willing to share his thoughts and experience which we very much appreciated. We are very happy with the result and the quality of construction. He is reliable and stands by his work. If we have any issues, we call Stephen and he sends his team in to fix it right away. We continue to work with Stephen to this day to continue enhancing our home.
